Giving the Moon its Roses
The Beauty of the Moon
Have you ever just stared at the moon and noticed how beautiful it is? Do you watch the sunset and wait for the Moon to peak into the night sky? I do.
We can always count on the Moon being there. Even if sometimes we can't see it due to a cloudy or stormy night. We know that the moon is on its way.
Moonlight Reflections
The moon casts its gentile glow upon the night, wrapping the world in a soft light that feels like a warm hug. As it rises high in the night sky, its luminous presence brings a sense of safety and tranquility, guiding us through the darkness with its reassuring glow.
In those quiet moments, when the stars twinkle and dance like tiny diamonds around it, the moonlight sways softly on the ground, creating a peaceful atmosphere that invites calm. Whether it's a stroll under the night sky or simply enjoying the view from your window, the moon reminds us that even in the darkest hours we will find beauty and light. It serves as a comforting beacon, whispering that we are never truly alone and that peace is always within reach.
Lunar Inspiration
I created the Luna's Embrace collection because I wanted to show my love for the Moon and pay tribute to the full moons of 2025. Gazing at the moon brings a smile to my face whether it's looking out the window or camping in the woods, where it peeks through the trees to lighten my path. I cherish the moon, even if I don't fully understand why, I know I just have to see it every night, even if it's just for a moment to say hi.
Cultural Significance
The moon holds a special place in the hearts and minds of many cultures:
- Indigenous Cultures: Many see the moon as a powerful guide in nature.
- Native American tribes: The moon is associated with femininity and fertility, often linked to the Earth Mother.
- Chinese and Japanese: The moon symbolizes harmony, serenity, and reunion.
- Ancient Greeks and Romans: They personified the moon through deities like Selene (Greek) and Luna (Roman), believed to guide travelers by night and inspire poets and artists.
- Mexican traditions: The moon is celebrated in folklore and rituals, representing the nurturing aspect of life and often associated with feminine energy.
The moon is not just a celestial body; it's a source of comfort, inspiration, and connection. As I continue to explore my passion for the moon through the Luna's Embrace collection, I invited you to join me in celebrating its beauty and light it brings into our lives. The first soy candle collection will drop soon, make sure to be on the lookout for it.
So, how does the moon make you feel and what are some of your experiences and rituals? I'd love for you to share them with me!
With Warmth,
L.
